Ristorante Bellini in Borken

Yesterday we were at Ristorante Bellini. Sounds very Italian at first ... We spontaneously reserved a table at 7 p.m. for 8 p.m. No problem - everything was free. We were brought to the table and immediately received a card. Our aperitif was picked up immediately. We each ordered a Hugo. The card was handwritten in an unclean manner, copied crookedly and laminated in several times and bound with a ribbon from the right. So the beginning was basically the last page of a book. The laminated sides are safe to disinfect practically during corona times, but just as my card was stuck and there were visible residues on the card, I don't believe that the card has seen a rag even once. The selection on the menu is limited due to Corona, I have to say I found the menu very large and really offers something for almost everyone. The menu says that if you have a wish regarding a missing dish, please address this and they should see if the kitchen could fulfill the wish. - Great thing! When the lady brought us the Hugos, she took the food. We both ordered a pasta dish .. Once with gambas and once with chicken spinach and pernod sauce. We asked if Bruscetta would be possible as a starter as it wouldn't be on the menu. The lady told us she would ask in the kitchen. My girlfriend then ordered a small bottle of water because Hugo was way too sweet. I also found him very warm. With the ice cubes and the ordered water, the Hugo later became something cooler ... It didn't take that long and we got our pasta dishes. We never received an answer as to whether Bruscetta was possible or not. And we couldn't choose an alternative to Bruscetta as a starter because we now had the main course. Incidentally, there was no dessert on the menu. The plates were very large and very very full and I thought there was way too much sauce for my case. Halfway through, I couldn't take a bite because the Pernod in the sauce was too intense for me. Everything just tasted like Pernod. No matter if I ate a tortellini or a piece of chicken. I was just meant too well by the Pernod. In and of itself it wasn't a bad performance by the chef but, as already said, simply meant too well by the Pernod. When we both couldn't eat any more, the lady came and took our plates and asked if we wanted to have the food packed. We said no. That was the last time we saw the lady. No question whether we might want a dessert later .. Or maybe another drink after the aperif .. Nothing .. We then talked for a long time until a younger lady came almost shortly before the shop closed and asked if we had anything else wanted to drink. Unfortunately, my answer was "Not anymore either." the lady went back quite annoyed. After a short time we got up to look for the lady so that we could pay. In the front of the entrance area sat the lady who served us at the beginning and stared at the cell phone and didn't even look up. The younger lady stood behind the counter, also with her cell phone on the wall, on a Skype. Sorry for bothering you. We were then collected without masks and without any distance from us. My girlfriend paid € 19 and I had to pay € 13. I've never paid so little when I go out to eat. And that was not because of the low prices on the spot but simply because there was no service. At home I first had a drink and ate a yogurt. It should also be mentioned that I find suitable music appropriate in a restaurant. There was no classical Italian music here but loud reggaton music. The (only) neighboring table once noted who made the music selection here. That was only laughed at by the lady. Conclusion: never again!

Super tasty antipasti, very tasty pasta for the wife, as well as the quattro statgione for me; the friendly wait staff should think about appropriate clothing. The food is absolutely recommendable!

Service is very nice and courteous, great beer garden, the best pizza in a long time!

Unfortunately that was nothing. Dogs roam free in the restaurant. The same applies to the outside area. In my opinion that is not possible at all. The starter was drowned in a sauce. All dishes were covered in garlic (and I like to eat garlic). Unfortunately, the restaurant did not convince us in terms of taste. The waitress has probably not learned her trade. Glasses were handed out although there was enough space to get to all seats. They didn't ask how it tasted, whether something was missing or whether we wanted a dessert. In addition, the service was very unfriendly. We will definitely not be back.

Family-run restaurant with a relaxed, friendly manner. It's just fun to be there and enjoy the really good food. The whole thing framed by the historic village center of Gemens and the castle.

A trip to the real Italy, mega delicious! Yesterday I drove from Wesel to Borken to pay a visit to Ristorante Bellini and the whole team. Since the Ristorante Bellini moved out of Wesel, something important has been missing there. In the new Bellini there was a very warm welcome when I arrived. Fortunately I was in Borken early enough to get another table without a reservation. The atmosphere in the garden was fantastic. The interiors are also bright and friendly, just as I would like an Italian Ristorante. Chef Giuseppe and the whole Ponticello family showed me the whole restaurant and I was also allowed, subject to conditions, to take a quick look into the kitchen. Since I was the first guest that evening, only "my" sole lay on the grill. The mood was very good. After I was allowed to see everything I sat down at my table in the garden. At 30 ° it was a small, wonderful culinary trip to Italy. I had a large sole with spaghetti that only Chef Giuseppe can make. The grilled sole was perfect. Juicy, just a few spices, lemon wedges and good olive oil. The spaghetti with it was refined with parmesan, fresh fennel, herbs and roasted garlic pieces. Just as I love it. Fresh, balanced and a perfect accompaniment to sole. While I was enjoying my meal the restaurant garden filled up. I saw more orders being brought to the tables. On one of my next visits to the Bellini, I absolutely have to eat a pizza. I concluded my visit with a strong espresso. I am so glad that Borken is only 30 minutes away from Wesel. The food was terrific again. The Ponticello family was wonderful as always. And I have my favorite ristorante back. Thank you very much for this beautiful evening and see you soon. Ciao

Excellent food, friendly service and good ambience

Appetizers were delicious, pizza and pasta unfortunately only ok. Ambience not very inviting and service not attentive enough.

Rude conditions. Bad food. Uncomfortable ambience. Had to pay even though we didn't eat anything.

Cooking is done with love, everything fits. Can just be recommended.

Nice location, which really surprised us. No complaining about the food at all. Also a very nice service. BUT you can't pay with Meastro, why not?!?! This is therefore typically German in a negative sense. Indicated that it is no longer 1990. That was not appreciated.

Nice views from the restaurant, food and service was good.
